Coordination-induced assembly of two coordination polymers: crystal structures and anticancer activity on nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Two new coordination polymers [Y₂(BPTC)(AcO)₂(DMA)₂] (1, DMA = N,N-dimethylacetamide) and [Ba₂(BPTC)(H₂O)₅] (2) were constructed using different metal salts and 3,3′,5,5′‑biphenyltetracarboxylic acid (H₄BPTC) as building blocks. The resulted coordination polymers were characterized by element analysis and single crystal X-ray crystallography. Furthermore, the in vitro anticancer activity of complexes 1 and 2 were studied via the CCK-8 (cell Counting Kit-8 assay) and Annexin V-FITC/PI double staining assay.
