The structured ZSM-5 zeolite supported on stainless steel fiber was developed by direct growth of zeolite on the stainless steel fiber support, and the hierarchical pores structure was prepared by employing sodium carboxymethyl cellulose as a porogen. ZSM-5/ss-fiber catalyst possessed high loading of zeolite by one-step crystallization. The samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, NH3-TPD, N2 adsorption–desorption, pyridine IR, and thermogravimetric. Corresponding catalytic performances were evaluated in methanol to aromatics. Structured ZSM-5 exhibited higher aromatics selectivities, and the structured ZSM-5 with hierarchical pores showed a longer lifetime of 168 hr, which is 2.6 times than that of unsupported ZSM-5.
