By using a mixed-ligand approach, two new Cu(II)-containing co-ordination polymers (CPs) with the chemical formula of [Cu4(HDNA)4(4,4′-bpy)(OH)2]·4H2O·2CH3CN (1, H2DNA = 4,4′-dicarboxy-4″-nitrotriphenyl-amine, 4,4′-bpy = 4,4′-bipyridine) and [Cu3(TCA)2(DPE)]·10DMF·6H2O (2, H3TCA = 4,4′,4″-nitrilotribenzoic acid, dpe = (E)-1,2-di(pyridin-4-yl)diazene) have been successfully prepared by reaction of Cu(NO3)2·3H2O with the corresponding organic ligands under the solvothermal conditions. The cancer cell viability and proliferation were determined with Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay and the colony formation assay. The migration and invasion capability of A375 melanoma cells under Cu(II)-based co-ordination polymers treatment was evaluated with trans-well assay.
