One new sesquiterpene pyridine alkaloid from the stems and leaves of Euonymus fortunei

The new structure was determined by extensive spectroscopic analyses (IR, UV, NMR, HRESIMS and ECD). In addition, compound 3 showed a stronger anti-respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) activity with an IC50 value of 1.20 ± 0.10 µM than the positive control ribavirin with an IC50 value of 5.62 ± 0.49 µM.
